Asian Heritage Society of Manitoba will be working with Festival Accès Asie on Saturday, September 12, 2020, we will be part of online break-out sessions to foster dialogue and action.

There will be satellite sessions happening across the country at the same time to tackle regional nuances and increase solidarity among our organizations and as individuals. These conversations are open to anyone who wishes to take part.
Registration is free. We will be meeting via zoom from 11:45am-4:00pm CST on Saturday, September 12, 2020.
The afternoon will be scheduled as follows:
11:45am – Welcome words by Yenny Trinh and instructions for the sessions
12:00-1:30pm – Session A: Pro-active steps to combat Anti-Asian racism and support Black Lives Matter: breaking systemic norms that support discrimination and the promotion of Asian Heritage Month to be more visible in other sectors.
2:00-3:30pm – Session B:Asian Heritage Month Goals: increasing engagement of the next generation by building supportive communities that offers resource sharing and collaboration.
3:30-4:00pm – Closing, Thank you & mingling
You will be invited to attend both sessions. However, if you prefer to attend only one of the sessions, that is fine. Log in or out at your convenience.
By working together with others across the country we can increase the potential and visibility for Asian Canadians working in the arts, culture and heritage. Your input makes our landscape richer. Sessions will be guided towards building solutions and construction of action plans to leap forward as a community.
